SWEDISH MASSAGE IN CENTRAL LONDON
Sometimes you don't want to analyse your training, work on a particular muscle or spend an hour wondering how much pressure you can tolerate. You just want a really good massage. Swedish Massage is a classic full-body treatment built around smooth, flowing movements and comfortable pressure. It's an ideal choice when you want to slow down, relax and take some time out of a busy week. I offer Swedish Massage in Soho and Liverpool Street, right in the centre of London.
AN HOUR WHERE YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING
Most of us aren't particularly good at switching off. There's always another email, another message, somewhere to be or something that needs doing. Even when work finishes, our heads don't necessarily get the memo. A Swedish Massage gives you an hour where nothing is expected of you. The pace is generally slower than my Sports or Deep Tissue treatments, with more emphasis on flowing movements across the body rather than spending a long time working intensely on one area.
WHAT DOES SWEDISH MASSAGE FEEL LIKE?
There's no single pressure that defines a Swedish Massage. Some people want something very gentle. Others like enough pressure to properly feel the massage while still keeping the overall treatment relaxing. Before we start, I'll ask what you prefer. We can also adjust the pressure during the session, so you don't have to make the perfect decision beforehand.
DOES IT HAVE TO BE A FULL-BODY MASSAGE?
Not necessarily. A full-body treatment is a popular choice, but we can adapt the session if there are areas you'd rather spend more time on. Perhaps your shoulders have been particularly tight but you still want the overall treatment to feel relaxing. That's easy to accommodate. Tailoring the treatment doesn't mean turning it into Deep Tissue Massage. It simply means using the time in a way that works better for you.
SWEDISH MASSAGE ISN'T ONLY FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T TRAIN
I work with plenty of active clients who normally prefer Sports or Deep Tissue Massage but occasionally want something less intense. You can train hard and still want to relax. Equally, you might not train at all and simply enjoy massage as a way of taking some time for yourself. There's no particular type of person Swedish Massage is “for”.
SWEDISH OR DEEP TISSUE?
If you're looking primarily for relaxation, flowing techniques and comfortable pressure, I'd generally recommend Swedish Massage. If you prefer noticeably firmer pressure and want more concentrated work on particular areas, Deep Tissue Massage is probably the better option. Somewhere in between? That's fine too. Massage doesn't have to fit perfectly into a category.
A QUIET, PERSONAL TREATMENT
When you book with Muscle Flow Massage, you'll always see me rather than whichever therapist happens to be available that day. That means your preferences don't disappear after every appointment. If you come regularly, I'll know the pressure you tend to like and whether there are areas you prefer me to spend more or less time on.
